The general function of the Radiator is to cool liquid or gas. Radiators are made of aluminum, which has a rapid heat exchange. They are used in Compressors to cool the mechanism and the heated air. A high level of heat is released in compressors as a result of the friction of compressed air with surfaces in the system. This happens in both the reciprocating compressors and screw compressors.
This heat is cooled in low flow (under 1500 l/min capacity) compressors using a pulley that is connected to the engine as a fan.However,the Compressor and the air are cooled in high-flow compressors using a coil pipe or Radiator. Because there is no oil circulating in the system,only air cooling radiators are used in reciprocating compressors.However,in the screw compressor,the oil circulating through the compressor should be cooled.To do so,double-paned radiators are used in screw compressors.Thus air and oil are cooled separately from each other in the Radiator.
